The iGrand Piano app has been updated to include compatibility with AudioBus and Inter-App Audio, offering a new expansion pack, EQ features, and the ability to save user variations. This ultimate piano instrument boasts an exceptional selection of ultra-realistic acoustic pianos and includes built-in recording capabilities.
Users can take advantage of the iRig KEYS and KEYS PRO portable keyboards or the iRig MIDI 2 interface to connect external keyboards for composing, rehearsing, performing, and recording with top-quality instruments designed for mobile use. The integration of a 3-band EQ allows for further sound customization, while saving up to 4 user variations per instrument.
iGrand Piano provides access to a comprehensive array of world-class pianos that deliver studio-grade quality unlike any other app on the market, rivaling powerful virtual instruments typically found on computer setups. Featuring high-definition stereo samples across various velocities, iGrand Piano offers the most expressive and realistic grand, baby grand, upright, and specialty piano sounds available on a mobile platform.
Included in the app are 8 exceptional pianos (one requires registration), a recorder, and a metronome. Users can opt for in-app purchases to acquire additional instruments from two available expansion packs. The app also allows MIDI recording with overdubbing and punch-in capabilities, as well as the flexibility to export tracks as audio files via multiple methods for integration with other iOS apps.
The instrument editor facilitates real-time adjustments for ambience, lid position, brightness, envelope release, key transposition, and tuning using easily accessible controls above the keys. Various edit knobs can be assigned to custom MIDI controllers for precise tweaking of sonic details. iGrand Piano supports Virtual MIDI, MIDI Program Change, Audiobus, and Inter-App Audio functionalities in iOS 8.
